THE ORACLE TOWN HALL STEERING COMMITTEE HAS NEW LEADERSHIP, REFLECTING A
BROAD COMMUNITY BASE.

Andrew Rush stepped down Monday night after 17 years of service.

Elected by 40 some citizens attending the steering committee meeting were Oracle real estate broker Helen Vinson, educator Ruben Perez, and businessman Frank Pierson.

The three agreed to serve as co-chairs on an interim basis.

They will meet April 9 with a reconstituted steering committee.  They are appealing to all Oracle residents to attend and share their concerns or opinions on development in the area.

An 80 percent vote of Oracle citizenry attending a Town Hall meeting in January authorized the steering committee to work with the County on establishing a state-required Comprehensive Area Plan for the Falcon Valley area before re-zoning is granted.

Willow Springs City planners are seeking rezoning first. They are to appear before the County Planning and Zoning Commission in Florence on April 19, at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile, Willow Springs City planners will re-present their plans to Oracle residents at a public meeting April 12 at 7 p.m. at the Oracle Community Center.
